Kirki eCommerce is continuing to take shape, and with Alpha 3, we’re introducing another set of features to test, explore, and refine.
This release expands the eCommerce foundation with new tools for managing products and inventory, handling orders, customizing the checkout experience, and accepting payments. It also brings several improvements to the storefront and customer account experience.
Kirki eCommerce is still in the Alpha stage, so there’s plenty more to build and refine. As always, your feedback shapes where this goes next. Test these features, then share your thoughts in our Alpha 3 feedback form – it takes a couple of minutes, and it directly shapes what we build.
Here’s a look at what you can explore in Alpha 3.
Note: Kirki eCommerce is currently an experimental alpha release. Some features may be incomplete or not work as expected. Please do not use it on live sites.
Manage Inventory Without the Busywork

The all-new Bulk Inventory Edit makes managing inventory much easier. Now, you can update stock across your entire catalog at once – no more opening products one by one to make a small change. As your catalog grows, this is the difference between inventory management taking minutes instead of hours.
Alongside it, Low Stock Thresholds let you set alerts at three levels: global (a default across your store), product, and variant. Set a general rule, then override it wherever a specific product or variant needs different handling.
And Out of Stock Protection now stops customers from adding unavailable items to their cart in the first place, so nobody reaches checkout only to find out an item’s gone.
Faster Product Workflows

Need to create a product that’s similar to one you already have?
With Product Duplication, you can quickly duplicate an existing product along with its settings and variants. This can save time when adding products with similar configurations to your store.
You can also use Product Preview to see how a product will appear to customers before publishing it.
And when it’s time to remove something, Product Trash Management gives products a proper trash state and deletion workflow, instead of deleting outright.
More Flexible Checkout

Guest Checkout is the other major addition to this release. Customers can now complete a purchase without creating an account, removing one of the most common reasons carts get abandoned before checkout.
You also get more control at the cart level with Product Quantity Limits, letting you cap how many units of a product a customer can buy in one order, useful for limited releases or high-demand items.
Know What’s Happening With Every Order

The new Order Timeline gives merchants a chronological view of an order’s full history, right from the order details screen, so you can see exactly what happened and when.
Customers get their own version of this with the Order Activity Log, visible from their account dashboard, so they can check on order status without needing to reach out to support.
More Payment Options

Alpha 3 expands payment support with two new payment gateway integrations:
- Quickpay
- Paystack
These integrations give store owners more options for accepting payments and make it easier to support different payment preferences.
Around the Storefront
Customers can now find what they’re looking for faster with Shop Search, added directly to the storefront shop page.
We’ve also shipped two account and security improvements. Customers can now verify their email directly from their account dashboard, and we’ve fixed an invalid-cookie issue that was affecting password changes.
What’s Next
Alpha 3 is another step toward a complete eCommerce experience inside Kirki, and there’s more coming as we keep building out products, orders, checkout, payments, and the customer experience.
If you’re testing Kirki eCommerce, we want to hear from you. Your feedback during Alpha is what shapes what ships next.
