What Is the Unsplash App?
The Unsplash app is one of the integrations available in Kirki Apps. Once connected, it links your Kirki editor to Unsplash’s image library using an API key tied to your own Unsplash account.
What Do You Need Before Connecting Unsplash?
- An Unsplash account
- An Access Key from Unsplash’s developer platform
How to Get Your Unsplash API Key
- Go to the Unsplash API website and sign in, or create an account if you don’t have one.
- Navigate to the API Keys section and click New Application.
- Fill in the required details for your application – this includes the name, description, and website URL.
Once your application is created, Unsplash gives you an Access Key. This is what you’ll use to connect Unsplash to Kirki.
How to Install the Unsplash App in Kirki
- In the Kirki editor, navigate to Apps from the left sidebar.
- Search for Unsplash.
- Click Install.
How to Configure the Unsplash App
- Once the app is installed, click the ellipsis (…) icon next to it.
- Select Configure.
- Enter your Unsplash API Key (the Access Key you got from Unsplash).
- Click Save Configuration.
Your Kirki editor is now connected to your Unsplash account, and the app is ready to use.
How to Reconnect Unsplash With a Different Account
If you need to switch Unsplash accounts, generate a new Access Key from a different Unsplash application (following the steps above), then repeat the configuration steps in Kirki with the new key.
How to Remove the Unsplash App
- In Kirki Apps, find Unsplash under Installed.
- Click the ellipsis (…) icon next to it.
- Select Remove.
