Droip is now Kirki!

To continue receiving updates and support, you’ll need to migrate to Kirki Pro. The good news is that your existing subscription, license key, and all your website data and content are fully preserved throughout the process.

Follow the steps below to complete your migration smoothly.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following ready before starting:

  • Access to your WordPress dashboard
  • A stable internet connection

Step 1: Back Up Your Site

Before making any changes, create a full backup of your WordPress site.

While the migration plugin automatically keeps a backup of your data throughout the process, having a complete site backup ensures everything is safe in the unlikely event that anything goes wrong during migration.

Step 2: Update Droip to the Latest Version

Next, update Droip to the latest version (2.5.8) by going to your WordPress Dashboard, navigating to Plugins, locating Droip, and clicking Update.

This will automatically install the Droip to Kirki Migration plugin.

If you have trouble updating, you can also manually install the Droip to Kirki Migration plugin.

Step 3: Activate Droip to Kirki Migration Plugin

Once the Droip to Kirki migration plugin is installed, activate it. This will display a notice to migrate your data.

Step 4: Migrate Your Data

When you’re ready, click Migrate to Kirki Pro to start the migration. A progress bar will show you the migration progress.

All your existing Droip pages, content, settings, and data will be transferred to Kirki. It will also automatically:

  • Install and activate Kirki and Kirki Pro
  • Deactivate Droip

If you’d prefer to do this later, click Remind Me Later. The notice will reappear after four hours.

Note: Your existing Droip license key will be automatically connected to Kirki Pro – no new key needed.

Rollback

If you run into any issues after migrating, you can revert to Droip at any time by clicking Rollback. This will reverse the data migration, reactivate Droip, and deactivate Kirki.

Once you’re ready, you can migrate again by following Step 4.

Step 5: Clean Up

Once you’re satisfied the migration was successful, click Clear Backup to remove the backup data. Then deactivate and delete the migration plugin from your Plugins page.

That’s it! You can continue building and editing your website exactly as before, now with access to all the new features Kirki has to offer.

If you run into any issues, reach out to our support team at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to help.
